Tentative talks have begun between the major labels and Apple in the UK. However, all talks are at the really early stages and no one expects to see the cloud music service live on this side of the pond until 2012.

Der Dienst “iTunes in the Cloud” den Apple auf der WWDC Keynote vorgestellt hat, wird sich laut einem Bericht von The Telegraph (bislang nur) in England verzögern. Das sich nach der Vorstellung des fertigen Verkaufskonzepts unter Zustimmung der großen Musikkonzerne in den USA europäische Vertreter nun mit Verzögerungen in den Weg der Zukunft stellen, mag alles andere als einleuchten. Die Gespräche zwischen Apple und der Lizenzierungsgesellschaft PRS aus England scheinen noch in den Kinderschuhen zu stecken und könnten bis Q1 2012 andauern bevor eine Einigung verbucht werden kann. Die Beta-Versionen von iTunes Match und der Option “Automatische Downloads” für iTunes Titel wird vorerst US-only sein und nur mit einem iTunes Account für die USA möglich sein.
